Get Involved in the Association that Supports You
Join MANP to benefit from its educational, networking, and leadership opportunities. The MANP Board of Directors encourages you to become actively involved in the association. Membership options are available for nurse practitioners, students, retirees, and affiliate members who support nurse practitioners. If you are a member and would like to serve on a committee, please call 601-407-3226 or email [email protected]. Clinic owners are invited to share their input through the committee dedicated to business owners. We look forward to working with you as we support your profession at both the state and national levels. Membership dues and donations provide essential support for the association. As a nonprofit organization, MANP relies on your contributions to advance the work of nurse practitioners and move the profession forward in a state facing significant healthcare challenges.
Our low membership dues have never increased and have remained unchanged since 2014.
Benefits of Membership
Make your voice heard clearly by joining forces. You do not need to worry about whether your continuing education (CE) will be accepted; we take care of that for you. MANP is an approved provider of nursing professional development and education by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, our Medical Cannabis programs are approved by the MSDH for initial certification and renewal. MANP has also partnered with CE Broker. MANP will automatically upload earned controlled substance CE contact hours presented by MANP to the CE Broker site on your behalf in compliance with the MS Board of Nursing.
MANP also offers frequent conferences and pharmaceutical-sponsored dinner meetings throughout the state to keep you informed about your profession. We provide email communications to keep you updated on current events and legislative developments that affect your practice and help protect your income. We also provide community education to help patients learn more about Nurse Practitioners and the care we provide.
We encourage you to take an active role in your association and help advance your profession. We are your voice, and together, we can achieve joint goals to protect the progress of Nurse Practitioners while advocating on your behalf.

Advocacy
We advocate for NPs with the legislature, Congress, other policymakers, and other healthcare associations both in the state and nationally. MS Association of Nurse Practitioners' key initiatives include;
- Full Practice Authority allows NPs to practice to the fullest extent of their education & training within their respective scopes of practice
- Increase Access to care for patients
- NP orders for DME, Home Health, Hospice
- NP signature recognition on legal documents and eliminating co-signatures

Student membership for those Registered Nurses currently enrolled in a course of study leading to licensure as an NP is paid annually. APPROVAL REQUIRED with proof of school enrollment, NOT APPLICABLE TO CURRENTLY LICENSED APRN who have re-entered the educational field for another certification.

APPROVAL REQUIRED with proof of age. Must be 65 years or older, no longer in active practice.
$150.00 every 12 months
Membership for an individual who qualifies for Active Membership, is no longer in active patient care, and has reached the age of 65 paid annually.
